How to plug in a USB cable correctly in the computer and devices

We connect end numbers of peripherals to our computer. These peripherals are of different kind and of different brand starting from Apples iPod to HP Printer. However, there is some thing that is common among them all and that is USB port. USB port also known as Universal Serial Bus port is a technology has was introduced in 1994 wit help of 7 different companies i.e. Compaq, DEC, IBM, Microsoft, NEC and Nortel. The basic idea is to develop a universal connector that could connect the external devices to the computer and would replace the old connectors that were specific to the manufacturers.

The lasts version of USB is USB 3.0 which was launched in the year November 2008. The new version has many advantages but the biggest problem comes when you try to connect the USB cable to the port. The Cable is flat and is difficult to decide which side should go up and which should go down. There are many instances when we spend almost 5 minutes to just correctly plug the cable in the port.

I have a solution to this problem; if you look care fully at the USB cable one of its side has USB logo on it. The USB logo is Cactus like image. When ever you enter the cable in to the port always keep the USB logos facing up and it should plug in without any problem. This works for most of the case and you can connect the USB cable to the computer. However you may wondering how to connect the other end to the device. Most of the time the devices are connected to the device but many times they are not and you have to connect it like you connect to the computer.

On the devices end of the computer we will follow the same principal. We will have sign of + and – and that is the one that will be on the top. If it does not have the positive and negative symbol, please look for the arrow symbol.

These above steps should save your minute or two while connecting the USB deceives form today on. Hope you liked the above information.
