Ouch! My Mac shocked me!

Mac has been coming up with innovative features in their electronic device segment. Now, it has introduced a new feature called as Ouch! My Mac shocked me! This is an interesting feature and let’s sees what is interesting about it. So, you have bought and setup your new Mac in your home or at office. But, after installation when you touch your PC, it will give a small shock! Don’t worry it just a small shock, you won’t faint or get hospitalized.

If, you are wondering why and how this is happening, then let me tell you. It is just a static electricity, which most people don’t find dangerous. You might be wondering? Your PC is giving shock to you and we are telling you, it’s all fine. There is nothing to worry about. Let me tell you how? Here in case of Mac PC, the little shock indicates that your PC is working all fine.

The main reason for getting shock is the static energy that your body carries. In this case our body act like a capacitor (a device that store energy). The energy which gets stored in your body generates from the clothes you are wearing, what objects you have rubbed against or been in contact with, atmospheric condition, humidity etc. When you touch touched your Mac which is connected to the earth or ground, the stored static energy get a way to get out of your body, giving you a little shock. I guess you have understand how you new Mac is giving shock to you.

There is nothing to worry about Mac shock. You will just feel little pain at the point of contact, unless your body is charged largely. If, it’s the case then you might feel much more pain than, just pinch.

If, Mac shock is making you discomfort then, there’s really no way to manage static discharge or to prevent it. However, you can control the amount of shock a little bit. Humidity do help in lowering the generation of static energy in your body, so getting one in your home or at office could help you a lot in this direction. You can regularly ground your body by touching larger metal objects, which helps in discharging your body’s static energy. Another, option is to get an ionizer, which will make atmosphere around you more conductive and reduce the charges from contact surfaces. How to plug in a USB cable correctly in the computer and devices

We connect end numbers of peripherals to our computer. These peripherals are of different kind and of different brand starting from Apples iPod to HP Printer. However, there is some thing that is common among them all and that is USB port. USB port also known as Universal Serial Bus port is a technology has was introduced in 1994 wit help of 7 different companies i.e. Compaq, DEC, IBM, Microsoft, NEC and Nortel. The basic idea is to develop a universal connector that could connect the external devices to the computer and would replace the old connectors that were specific to the manufacturers.

The lasts version of USB is USB 3.0 which was launched in the year November 2008. The new version has many advantages but the biggest problem comes when you try to connect the USB cable to the port. The Cable is flat and is difficult to decide which side should go up and which should go down. There are many instances when we spend almost 5 minutes to just correctly plug the cable in the port.

I have a solution to this problem; if you look care fully at the USB cable one of its side has USB logo on it. The USB logo is Cactus like image. When ever you enter the cable in to the port always keep the USB logos facing up and it should plug in without any problem. This works for most of the case and you can connect the USB cable to the computer. However you may wondering how to connect the other end to the device. Most of the time the devices are connected to the device but many times they are not and you have to connect it like you connect to the computer.

On the devices end of the computer we will follow the same principal. We will have sign of + and – and that is the one that will be on the top. If it does not have the positive and negative symbol, please look for the arrow symbol.

These above steps should save your minute or two while connecting the USB deceives form today on. Hope you liked the above information.
